What is a Mission Leadership Seminar?

Twice a year mission leaders gather together for training and support.

This was our first opportunity to attend and there were too many blessings to count.

We were able to meet other mission leader couples serving in the Africa South Area. A few were new like us, but most had been serving for a while and offered invaluable advice and support.

We received exceptional training from our area presidency - Elder Christoffel Golden, Elder Edward Dube and Elder Ciro Schmeil.  While Gary attended specific trainings, I was able to spend time with and be  taught by Sister Golden, Sister Dube and Sister Schmeil. They are remarkable!

We love our missionaries and feel so fortunate to learn important ways to teach the Doctrine of Christ to our elders and sisters. Our greatest desire is that each and every one will choose to become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ and apply the renewing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ through their missionary purpose.

We were blessed to learn from Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. His counsel and direction felt tender and personal.

We returned to Zimbabwe with a fresh view, a renewed sense of hope and direction, and a healthy list of all the Holy Ghost taught us.

And we loved Johannesburg!

We are very grateful.

Leaving for Joburg
Elder Rasband blowing us a kiss as we said our good-byes.
A highlight was being able to attend a special session at the Johannesburg South africa Temple.
We have missed the sacred blessing of regular temple attendance.
