The great call.

 

'And thus we see the great call of diligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoicing—sorrow because of death and destruction among men, and joy because of the light of Christ unto life.'- Alma 28:14

Well our stuff is on it's way!  Jose', Sunia and Palika took great care in packing our boxes for the long journey ahead. They said they have done the packing for most of the mission presidents leaving and also coming home. We told them we'd see them again in three years! For insurance and customs purposes we weren't able to load the boxes ourselves, but I had it as organized and prepared as I could. We will be reunited with our belongings once we've been in country for approximately two months, and we'll be living out of suitcases from now until then. 

This is truly a great call of joy and light! I love this verse in Alma, and all the surrounding chapters that share the missionary experiences of those mighty boys. Their missions lasted for years and years, and I'm sure they didn't worry about earthly possessions, or have a support system like our moving friends. I love all that I learn from Ammon and his band of brothers.
